Psychology is the scientific study of behaviour, thoughts, and feelings. 

In the two-year Associate of Arts degree in Psychology at CapU, you'll explore topics including personality, motivation, and relationships. 

You'll also examine how we develop and learn, how our social roles and culture affect us and the impact of stress and mental health issues. 

After graduation, you can move the 60 credits in the associate of arts program straight into the Bachelor of Arts with a Major in Psychology program and complete your degree right here at CapU.

Admission Requirements

  •  Grade12 English 

High School Requirements 

  • High school graduation 
  • A minimum grade point average of 2.0 (60%) calculated on English Studies 12 or English 12 or English First Peoples 12 and two academic Grade 12 courses 

Current high school students 

Grade 12 students can apply for conditional admission based on their final Grade 11 and/or interim Grade 12 marks by uploading their most recent grades (e.g., unofficial transcript or a report card) through EducationPlannerBC. Final admission depends on high school graduation and meeting the specific requirements of the program. 

Note: Applicants from B.C high schools must release their grades to CapU via the BC Ministry of Education at Student Transcripts Services (STS) as soon as possible.
